Description
A large, ornately decorated coronet or half-tester bed, featuring a polished dark hardwood headboard with prominent grain and Rococo-inspired carved scrolling motifs, including a central stylized cartouche. A fabric coronet canopy, adorned with a tasseled fringe and secured by gilt or brass rosettes, drapes over the headboard. The canopy combines an outer chintz-style floral textile in reds, pinks, greens, and creams with inner deep red velvet-like curtains. The bed is dressed with matching floral patterned bedding and decorative pillows, complementing the overall traditional style. No manufacturer’s marks or inscriptions are discernible.
