Description
A Directoire style writing desk and accompanying side chair, both crafted from mahogany. The desk features a rectangular top with a central leather-inset writing surface flanked by veneered panels, and is fitted with three drawers across the apron, each with brass drop handles, supported by four square tapered legs. The coordinating side chair has a decorative crest rail and pierced splat back with apparent painted or inlaid neoclassical motifs, and an upholstered seat covered in a light brown velvet or velour fabric, secured with visible tacking.
