Description
An Edwardian Chippendale style mahogany display cabinet-on-stand, crafted from dark-stained wood. The two-part construction features an upper section with a broken pediment top adorned with carved scrolls and intricate fretwork, extending to the cornice and the stiles of the two glazed doors. These doors incorporate geometric mullions. The lower section comprises a matching console base with two drawers, fitted with brass pull handles, above a fretwork-carved apron and a stretcher shelf supported by square legs. The cabinet currently displays several decorative plates with floral motifs and pink borders, and two painted porcelain urn-shaped vases. One vase on the lower shelf bears a label ‘LOT 14’, and a partially visible label ‘Production LOT 14’ is present on a shelf within the upper cabinet.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, consistent with age and use. Minor surface wear and slight imperfections commensurate with an antique item are present. No apparent significant structural damage or repairs.
