Description
A traditional-style canopy bed, likely a reproduction or from an earlier period such as Victorian or Edwardian. The item comprises a 150 x 200cm bed and headboard with pelmet. It features a prominent dark finished wooden headboard with carved ornamental details, possibly mahogany or walnut. An elaborate fabric canopy, comprising an outer floral-patterned valance with decorative trim and inner rust-colored drapes, is suspended above the headboard by gilt-finished metal mounts.
