Description
A 19th Century Italian Giltwood and Carved Wall Mirror. This large, rectangular wall mirror features an ornate, heavily carved and gilded frame exhibiting characteristics of Baroque or Rococo revival styles. The frame is elaborately decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, and prominent foliate motifs, including a central urn or basket-like element within the cresting. Finished in a warm gold gilding, the clear mirror plate is free of significant visible damage.
