Description
A Mid-20th Century cartoon illustration depicting an equine animal, appearing to be a donkey or mule, resting in a stable setting with a manger. The black and white artwork, likely a print or drawing on paper, is housed under glass with a white mat. Below the image, the inscription reads: “AFTERNOON SIESTA—BROWN JACK “ROOSTING” ON HIS MANGER.” A monogram or signature, appearing as an ‘F’ followed by ‘1/33’ or ‘133’, is visible in the lower left corner of the illustration.
