Description
A pair of traditional style double-arm wall sconces, crafted from brass-toned metal. Each sconce features a central ornate foliate escutcheon from which two curved arms extend, terminating in fluted candle cups. Each candle cup is fitted with a bell-shaped fabric shade with gold-colored trim. The overall design evokes Rococo or Neoclassical influences, suggesting a later production. Both lights are illuminated, indicating functional condition. A white handwritten tag hangs from the right arm, displaying “127” and “24-port Neuf,” likely an inventory or address reference.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. Minor surface wear and patination consistent with age and and use. Both lights are functional.
