Description
A framed ink on paper artwork by Xu Beihong (1895-1953), depicting a dynamically posed horse rendered in an expressive, calligraphic style reminiscent of sumi-e or ink wash painting. The artwork is presented with a white mat under glass within a dark brown, possibly wooden, frame. A label marked “PreAuction LOT 677” is affixed to the lower right corner of the mat.
Condition report:
Good condition. No visible damage to the artwork or frame. Minor surface wear consistent with age may be present on the frame. Details of the artwork are partially obscured by reflections on the glazing.
