Description
An ensemble featuring a George III mahogany square tilt-top tripod table. The dark-finished wood table features a square top and a tripod pedestal base. Accompanying the table is a pair of side chairs, one with a slatted back, the other a shield-back with carved Neoclassical motifs, indicative of Hepplewhite or Sheraton style. Both chairs feature striped fabric upholstered seats. Completing the furniture is a rectangular side table with a single drawer and tapered legs, surmounted by a brass-toned table lamp with a pleated fabric shade. The collection also includes a framed print, signed ‘P. Gillespie,’ depicting ‘The Mansion House, Castle Leslie Estate, Co. Monaghan,’ presented in a gold-toned frame with a white mat.
Condition report:
All items appear to be in good, used condition, consistent with their apparent age. Minor surface wear, abrasions, and light scratching commensurate with age and use are present on the wooden furniture. The upholstery on the chairs shows light wear. The lamp and print are in good overall condition.
