Description
A collection of twelve miniature die-cast model cars, primarily by Lesney Matchbox, including a Superfast 56 BMC Pininfarina and a No. 55/59 Ford Galaxie. The collection features a variety of car styles including sedans, a station wagon, a coupe, and a Volkswagen Beetle-type vehicle, rendered in diverse colors such as red, cream, blue, teal, green, gold, and magenta. Constructed primarily from painted metal with plastic windows, interiors, and wheels, these models likely date from the mid-to-late 20th century. Visible markings include ‘137’ on the side of one cream-colored car and ‘POLICE’ with an emblem on a white car, whose underside clearly states ‘MADE IN ENGLAND BY LESNEY’, ‘MATCHBOX SERIES’, ‘No. 55/59’, and ‘FORD GALAXIE’.
