Description
A collection of five die-cast metal and plastic commercial vehicles from the Matchbox Models of Yesteryear series. Each item is housed in a gold-coloured cardboard window box. The packaging for each features a printed black and gold logo reading models of yesteryear with a stylized wheel emblem, and a printed wordmark reading MATCHBOX in a rectangular cartouche. The set includes a 1930 Ford Model A van (Y-22) in yellow with dark wood-effect rear panels; a 1918 Crossley truck (Y-13) in red and black with a load marked COAL AND COKE; a 1930 Ford Model A van (Y-22) in maroon and cream with printed livery for SPRATTS BONIO OVALS WEETMEET; a 1927 Talbot van (Y-5) in maroon and yellow featuring WRIGHTS ORIGINAL COAL TAR SOAP livery for WRIGHT LAYMAN AND UMNEY LTD; and a 1912 Ford Model T van (Y-12) in yellow and black with red spoked wheels and SUZE A LA GENTIANE livery. The boxes carry printed text indicating the models were produced for ages 8 and over.
