A collection of British cupro-nickel coins, primarily comprising One Shilling and Five Pence denominations. The shillings include both English and Scottish reverse types; the English type features the crowned crest of England with three lions passant guardant, while the Scottish type features the crowned crest of Scotland with a lion rampant. The Five Pence pieces feature a crowned thistle reverse design. Obverse faces depict the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions read ELIZABETH II D G REG F D, FID DEF, ONE SHILLING, 5 NEW PENCE, and FIVE PENCE. The lot is accompanied by a black plastic cylindrical canister with a grey snap-on lid.
