Description
An English mechanical mantel clock manufactured by The Enfield Clock Co. Ltd. The clock features a wood-fronted case with a dark-stained finish, contrasted by light-coloured textured material on the curved sides and top. It is supported by two wooden bun feet at the front. The circular dial has a two-tone design consisting of an off-white chapter ring with black Arabic numerals and a dark wood-toned centre. It is fitted with decorative pierced hands and two winding apertures, protected by glass within a silver-toned metal bezel. The rear hinged wooden door opens to reveal a brass spring-driven movement. The movement plate is stamped with ENFIELD MADE IN GT BRITAIN BY THE ENFIELD CLOCK CO LTD and the number 13. The interior of the door bears the hand-written mark 1507/4B. The clock is equipped with a single spiral gong for striking the hour and half-hour.
