Description
Three electronic talking coin banks manufactured by Thinkway Toys, released in 1999 to coincide with the film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The set includes character figurines of Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Each figure is constructed from moulded plastic and is permanently mounted to a rectangular black plastic base designed to house electronic components and coin storage. The side of each base features a raised gold-coloured Star Wars logo. Character identification plaques are located on the top surface of the bases; the Jedi characters are identified with script lettering, while Darth Maul is identified with block capitals. Qui-Gon Jinn is depicted with a green lightsaber, and Obi-Wan Kenobi is depicted with a blue lightsaber. Darth Maul is featured in his signature black robes holding a double-bladed lightsaber hilt.
