Description
This lot consists of 11 individual hardback books bound in cloth, spanning styles from late Victorian and Edwardian periods through to mid-20th century publications. The collection features a variety of binding designs, including plain cloth, gilt-stamped decorative Victorian covers, and at least one volume with a distinct Aesthetic or Art Nouveau inspired cover design in pink and green. Identified titles and authors include A Cornish Childhood by A. L. Rowse, published by Jonathan Cape, London; Into the Happy Glade by Trevor Dudley-Smith; The Friend / Little Children, featuring a gilt stamped image of the Magi and camels; and two volumes by R. M. Ballantyne, one identified as Ungava. The bindings are presented in various colors including shades of blue, red, maroon, brown, beige, and mint green.
