A Trio of Philips Vintage Electronic Components Including Two VHS VCRs and a CD Player
Description
A trio of black consumer electronic components manufactured by Philips, comprising two VHS video cassette recorders and a compact disc player. The first component is a high-end VHS VCR featuring a black plastic fascia and a metal outer casing. The front panel is printed with the features ‘DIGITAL’, ‘PICTURE IN PICTURE SYSTEM’, ‘SUPERFINE STILL & SLOW MOTION’, ‘VHS HQ’, ‘8 PROGRAMME 1 YEAR TIMER’, and ‘ADVANCED TAPE SEARCH SYSTEM’. Controls include buttons for ‘OPERATE’, ‘P in P’, ‘EJECT’, ‘PLAY’, ‘STOP’, and ‘CHANNEL’ selection. The second component is an Austrian-made VHS VCR with a slim profile. It bears a printed Philips name and logo on the front panel alongside model designation ‘VR 6180’. An adhesive label on the rear reads ‘PHILIPS MADE IN AUSTRIA TYPE VR 6180/05 WD53 8850 SER.NR.127345 240 V ~ 50 Hz’. It features a standard two-pin power inlet. The third component is a Belgian-made compact disc player, marked ‘PHILIPS’ and ‘CDP 190’ on the front fascia. The rear panel carries an adhesive label reading ‘TYPE : PHILIPS CDF190/05 AH03 9247 000877 240 V ~ 50 Hz 150 mA MADE IN BELGIUM’, accompanied by a yellow warning label reading ‘CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT’.
