Description
A set comprising two upholstered armchairs and a circular wooden pedestal table. The armchairs are of a mid-20th century club armchair type, featuring a compact form with rolled arms, upholstered in a red and off-white geometric diamond pattern fabric with dark contrast piping, and stand on short, dark wooden feet. The circular table exhibits a Regency or Empire revival style, with a polished dark wood top featuring a distinctive cross-banded border and a radiating veneer pattern, supported by a central pedestal base with four splayed, reeded legs ending in brass claw feet. All three items bear white auction labels from “www.cappellosauctions.com”, marked ‘S 737’ (armchair), ‘S 738’ (armchair), and ‘S 739’ (table).
Condition report:
The overall apparent condition of all pieces is good, showing minor wear consistent with use. The upholstery on the armchairs appears clean with no significant tears or stains visible. The wooden surfaces of the table show minor surface scratches and indentations commensurate with age and use. The brass claw feet are intact.
