Description
This framed illustration on paper depicts a large, intricately scaled green fish-shaped object with distinct eye detailing. The visible text below the image identifies the subject as “Fabergé,” specifically “A green jade bols – pull in the guise of a fish with real eyes surrounded by diamonds,” with provenance tracing its arrival in London during the 1920s via Lady Zia, a member of the Russian Imperial Family and wife of Sir Harold Wernher. The print is housed under glazing within a gold-tone frame. A label on the lower left of the white mat reads “PROPERTY OF / 105. 5K,” and a piece of tape is present on the left side of the mat.
Condition report:
The print appears to be in good condition. The gold-tone frame shows minor surface wear. The mat has a label affixed to the lower left and a piece of tape on the left side.
