Description
A Louis XIV style armchair featuring a dark, heavily carved and turned wooden frame. The design incorporates scrolled armrests, turned legs with bun feet, and turned stretchers. The front stretcher is prominently adorned with a central, ornate gilded carved element. The chair is upholstered in a mustard yellow patterned textile, likely a brocade or tapestry, depicting a repeating floral, foliate, and bird motif. A white sticker marked “PROAUCTION.COM LOT 78” is affixed to the front right side.
Condition report:
The wood frame shows general wear, rubbing, and some finish loss consistent with age, particularly on the feet and armrests. The upholstery exhibits creasing and signs of use.
