Description
A 19th Century Renaissance Revival style carved throne armchair. The upholstered armchair is constructed from dark-stained carved wood, featuring a high rectangular back and a conforming seat, both covered in a mustard yellow fabric with a repeating floral and paisley-like pattern. The frame is heavily carved, most notably on the scrolled arms, turned front legs terminating in paw feet, and a prominent front stretcher adorned with a central shield motif flanked by acanthus scrolls.
Condition report:
Generally good condition, consistent with age. Shows expected surface wear to both the wood and upholstery.
