A Collection of Vintage Pocket and Table Lighters Including Ronson Colibri and Brother-Lite Examples
Description
A diverse collection of vintage cigarette lighters featuring various mechanical actions, materials, and forms. The group includes a red marbled plastic table lighter of chalice form, the base of which is marked in gold-toned lettering NOBLE SUP-LIGHT. A novelty miniature pistol-form lighter is present, constructed of cast metal with textured black plastic grips. The collection also features a Brother-Lite piezo-electric gas lighter, finished in red with a silver-toned star emblem, housed in its original black plastic presentation box with red flock lining and an orange instruction pamphlet. The pamphlet title reads INSTRUCTIONS BROTHER-LITE PIEZO-ELECTRIC GAS LIGHTER.
Other notable pieces include a polished chrome lighter, the base of which is impressed with Colibri MONOPOL PATENTED. A silver-toned metal lighter is marked on the base PATENTED OPEN FOR FLINT followed by two circular recessed dials, then RONSON REG. T.M. MADE IN ENGLAND. Another silver-toned metal lighter features a base impressed with THE POLO MADE IN ENGLAND PATENTED. A small textured silver-toned lighter and a small white cloth drawstring bag are also included in the lot.
