A Trio of Gothic Revival Style Costume Rings
Description
A collection of three costume rings featuring an antiqued silver-tone finish and gothic revival aesthetic. The first ring is set with a deep red oval cabochon within a decorative scalloped gallery and beaded shoulders. The second ring, of larger proportions, features a round central cabochon displaying a mottled blue and white celestial pattern; this is housed in a raised bezel mounted upon a wide, navette-shaped filigree plate decorated with scrolls and further beaded detailing. The third ring is set with a faceted deep garnet-coloured oval stone held in a claw setting, supported by a pierced gallery and open-work shoulders. All three rings are constructed from base metal with an intentional oxidized finish to highlight the recessed ornamental metalwork. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible on the interior or exterior of the bands.
