Description
This lot comprises 26 individual British silver shillings, featuring the effigies of King George V and King George VI. The obverse of these coins displays a left-facing profile of the respective monarch, with visible legends including „GEORGIVS V D G BRITT OMN REX F D IND IMP“ (George V, by the Grace of God, King of all Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India) and „GEORGIVS VI D G BR OMN REX“ (George VI, by the Grace of God, King of all Britons). The reverse design uniformly depicts a crowned lion standing atop a crown, with the denomination „ONE SHILLING“ and the date below. Visible dates range from the 1920s to the 1940s. These coins are composed of silver, consistent with British coinage of the period.
