Description
A French Provincial style dining set comprising a rectangular dining or side table and a group of dining chairs. The table is constructed from dark-stained wood with a central pedestal base featuring four splayed, block-footed legs. The dining chairs are also crafted from dark-stained wood, presenting a Rococo Revival style with cabriole legs, carved apron details, and X-stretchers. The chairs are fully upholstered, with some covered in a plain, worn green velvet-like fabric, and others in a more vibrant gold, red, and maroon paisley or damask patterned textile, accented with decorative metal studding.
Condition report:
The table exhibits significant surface wear, including dullness and visible white marks on its top, consistent with age and use. The dining chairs are in fair to good condition with varying degrees of upholstery wear; some chairs show more pronounced wear to the fabric than others.
