Description
An Antique Regency Rosewood Card Table, early 19th century. This dark wood folding card table features a rectangular top that pivots open to reveal a green felt playing surface. It is supported by a fluted columnar pedestal on a quadripartite base with carved paw feet. The frieze and pedestal base are decorated with reeding, acanthus leaves, and shell motifs.
Condition report:
The exterior wood surfaces exhibit extensive wear, scratches, and discoloration consistent with age and use. Visible damage is present on at least one carved foot, including losses. A small, illegible white paper label is affixed to the closed tabletop. The green felt playing surface appears intact but may show minor wear and fading.
