Description
An ornate Imperial Brevettato Italian mantel clock, featuring a gilded metal case with elaborate scrollwork and a lyre-form pediment. The clock is topped by a dark urn-like stone element and rests on a rectangular dark stone base, further embellished with gilded metal mounts. It is flanked by two patinated metal figures, resembling satyrs, holding a twisted rope, which are integrated into the clock’s design. The white clock face displays Roman numerals and minute markers, and is marked „Imperial“ in script above the center and „ITALY“ below the VI numeral.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, exhibiting minor surface wear consistent with its age. Minor surface wear to gilding and patination. Stone elements appear intact. Movement untested.
