Lot 2216:
Description
An early 20th-century Jacobean Revival style library table, crafted from dark-stained oak. This rectangular table features a prominent carved apron adorned with scrolling foliate and stylized shell motifs along all visible sides. It is supported by robustly turned baluster legs, which also support a lower, planked shelf. Additional turned vertical supports are incorporated for the shelf. The overall design reflects a Jacobean Revival aesthetic, consistent with pieces from the Edwardian period through the 1920s.
Condition report:
The table exhibits visible surface wear, scuffs, and minor indentations consistent with age and use. The dark-stained finish shows areas of rubbing and minor loss. Structurally sound and stable. No apparent repairs or restorations.
