Description
A Victorian/Edwardian style club fender, constructed from polished brass with vertical rails, topped by tan leather (or faux leather) cushions secured with brass studs. Adjacent to this is a traditional black wrought iron fireplace tool set, comprising a stand, poker, tongs, shovel, and brush. A white auction sticker on the front brass rail is visible, reading ‚DOUGHTY’S AUCTION 10.03.2023 LOT 228‘.
Condition report:
Both the fender and tools exhibit good, used condition, showing signs of age and use consistent with their period, such as minor wear and creasing to the leather and some tarnish to the brass.
