Description
A portrait drawing by Edward I Halliday depicting Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Executed in charcoal or graphite on toned paper, the drawing depicts a man in profile facing right, rendered in a realistic style. It is signed ‚Edward I Halliday‘ and dated ‚1948‘ in the lower right quadrant. The artwork is housed in a gilded wooden frame with a wide white mat and protected by glass. A label affixed to the lower right corner of the mat reads „Preliminary View“ and „LOT-334“ (with the last digit partially obscured).
