A portrait drawing by Edward I Halliday depicting Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Executed in charcoal or graphite on toned paper, the drawing depicts a man in profile facing right, rendered in a realistic style. It is signed ‘Edward I Halliday’ and dated ‘1948’ in the lower right quadrant. The artwork is housed in a gilded wooden frame with a wide white mat and protected by glass. A label affixed to the lower right corner of the mat reads « Preliminary View » and « LOT-334 » (with the last digit partially obscured).
