Description
An Edwardian Chinese Chippendale style mahogany display cabinet. The dark-stained hardwood cabinet features a triple-paneled glass-fronted upper section, surmounted by a conforming cornice adorned with dentil molding and fluted pilasters. The central glass door is further embellished with a distinctive applied shield-shaped frame. The base stands on four slender, tapering square legs, united by a carved frieze with a central rosette motif and pierced apron pieces with delicate scrollwork designs. The interior is fitted with glass shelves and is currently filled with various ephemera and framed items.
Condition report:
Good condition. Consistent finish throughout. Minor surface wear commensurate with age and use. No significant visible damage or repairs noted upon initial inspection.
