This lot comprises forty individually plastic-wrapped blocks or sheets of British commemorative stamps, issued in 1979 for „The Year of the Child.“ The collection includes ten blocks of each of the four distinct designs: „The Tale of Peter Rabbit“ (9p), „The Wind in the Willows“ (10½p), „Winnie the Pooh“ (11p), and „Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland“ (13p). Each stamp design features a silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II in the upper left corner and is uniformly inscribed with „The Year of the Child“ at the bottom.
