Description
An assortment of die-cast metal and plastic commercial model vehicles produced by Matchbox and Lledo. The collection features various vintage-style vans and trucks finished in historical commercial liveries, including Golden Shred Marmalade, Chivers & Sons Ltd, Smith’s Potato Crisps, Cherry Blossom Boot Polish, Rosella Marmalade, and Planters Peanuts. The models are presented in their original card and plastic window display boxes. The packaging bears several printed markings, including a logo for „models of yesteryear“ and the name „MATCHBOX“ on yellow and gold-tone boxes, which also feature specific model designations such as „Y-3 1923 TALBOT“ and „Y-12 1912 FORD MODEL T“. The Lledo packaging displays the series title „DAYS – GONE“ printed in a decorative cartouche and is marked „MADE IN ENGLAND BY LLEDO (LONDON) LIMITED“ along the base edge. A blue and white adhesive label reading „U6071-50 DAYS GONE“ is affixed to one window (photo 5), and other boxes feature handwritten price marks in ink on the plastic sections.
