Description
An assortment of die-cast metal vehicle models honouring Royal Mail and postal service history, all presented in their original manufacturer window boxes. The collection features a Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1912 Ford Model T van (Y-12) in red with a black roof and chassis. Included is a Corgi Motoring Memories red Royal Mail van, featuring By Air Mail and The Fastest Mail decals alongside the GR crown cipher. A horse-drawn postal carriage from the Corgi Royal Mail Commemorative Collection is finished in red and black and housed in a white and red window box. The group also contains two Lledo Days Gone vintage-style models: a red Royal Mail van bearing an ER crown cipher with a box dated 1983 Lledo (London) Ltd, and a second red postal van in a blue and white Days Gone box. Completing the set is a Lledo Promotional Model van liveried for Panther Cleaners and Dyer Services and Isle of Man Post Office, finished in red with a black roof and presented in a white Lledo Promotional Models London box. The models are primarily constructed from die-cast metal with plastic detailing. The Matchbox packaging carries the brand name Matchbox and the model designation Y-12 1912 Ford Model T. Corgi packaging is marked Motoring Memories and Commemorative Collection. Lledo items are marked Days Gone, Vintage Lledo Models, and Made in England.
