Description
Three Great Britain Bank of England Five Pounds Banknotes, Queen Elizabeth II, Series C (Pick #375). Each paper note features a prominent depiction of a younger Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, with the text «BANK OF ENGLAND, » «I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of, » and the denomination «Five Pounds.» Unique serial numbers are present: 02D 773728, J70 100889, and M09 041151. The reverse of each note displays a seated Britannia motif with a spear and shield. The notes are currently housed within a clear plastic sleeve. The middle note bears a prominent red ink stamp on both sides, partially legible as «OUTHAM 8B.» The bottom note shows a similar red stamp on its reverse, partly visible as «SOUTHAM 88.»
