Description
Three Great Britain Bank of England Five Pounds Banknotes, Queen Elizabeth II, Series C (Pick #375). Each paper note features a prominent depiction of a younger Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, with the text “BANK OF ENGLAND, ” “I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of, ” and the denomination “Five Pounds.” Unique serial numbers are present: 02D 773728, J70 100889, and M09 041151. The reverse of each note displays a seated Britannia motif with a spear and shield. The notes are currently housed within a clear plastic sleeve. The middle note bears a prominent red ink stamp on both sides, partially legible as “OUTHAM 8B.” The bottom note shows a similar red stamp on its reverse, partly visible as “SOUTHAM 88.”
