Description
A serpentine-front chest of drawers, likely constructed from a dark wood such as mahogany or walnut, featuring highly figured burled wood veneer on its five graduated, bowed drawer fronts. Each drawer is fitted with ornate rococo-style brass ring pulls set within lion’s head escutcheons. The shaped top edge exhibits subtle carved detailing, and the chest stands on four carved cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. The overall style suggests a revivalist or reproduction piece, possibly 20th century, drawing inspiration from 18th-century European designs.
