Description
This lot comprises a 19th-century American mahogany games table paired with two Rococo Revival side chairs. The square pedestal table is constructed from dark-finished wood, featuring a central pedestal support and four splayed feet. The two accompanying side chairs are crafted from a similar dark-finished wood, exhibiting a Rococo Revival style with ornate carved cabriole legs, decorative aprons and stretchers, and prominent metal nailhead trim. One chair is upholstered in a solid olive-green textured fabric, while the other is adorned with a vibrant, multi-colored paisley patterned fabric in shades of red, gold, and green. No visible text, markings, or manufacturer’s stamps are discernible.
Condition report:
The table displays visible surface wear, scuffs, and minor discoloration to both the top and base, consistent with age and use. The two side chairs are in overall fair to good condition. The olive-green upholstered chair shows some surface marks and minor pile wear to the fabric. Both chairs exhibit wear consistent with their age and use.
