Description
This lot comprises a circular pedestal dining table and four accompanying side chairs. The table is crafted from a dark, polished wood, likely mahogany, and features a top with a visible seam, suggesting an extendable or drop-leaf design. It is supported by a central columnar pedestal that branches into four splayed and scrolled legs. The four side chairs feature carved wooden frames with cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, connected by an ornate X-shaped stretcher with a central decorative element. Two chairs are upholstered in a plain olive-green velvet-like fabric, while the other two are upholstered in a woven fabric with a red, gold, and green paisley-like pattern. Both types of upholstery are accented with decorative nailhead trim along the edges. No discernable manufacturer’s marks or textual inscriptions are visible on any of the items.
