Lot 167:
Description
This lot comprises two interactive talking banks manufactured by Thinkway Toys, released in 1999 to coincide with the film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The collection includes the characters Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, both depicted in combat poses with lightsabers on electronic bases. These items feature combat actions and original character voices, utilising Jedi Motion Control sensors for hand-wave activation. They are designed to interact with each other for synchronised combat sequences across four modes of play. The figures are constructed from moulded plastic. Both items are housed in their original illustrated window boxes. Markings on the packaging include the Thinkway Toys manufacturer information and the logo I am a THINKING TOY. White adhesive retail labels in the top corners show a price of £19.99 and a date of 07/99. Each unit is designed to operate on 6 AA batteries.
