Description
A vintage electronic room alarm manufactured by Tiger Electronics, Ltd. (Model 88-303), featuring the Destroyer Droid character from the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The unit is constructed from moulded plastic with metallic-effect paint finishes and is mounted on a black integrated base. The base contains a digital display and control buttons. According to the packaging, the device incorporates a heat-sensitive intruder detector with a four-foot detection range. Activation of the alarm triggers the droid to open into an attack position accompanied by three built-in authentic sound effects. The item is housed in its original colour-printed window box with a yellow internal cardboard mount. Manufacturer and licensing information for Lucasfilm Ltd. and Tiger Electronics is clearly visible on the packaging.
