Lot 458:
A Trio of Small Animal and Decorative Miniatures Including a Cast Metal Cat and Glass Figures
Description
This lot comprises three small decorative items. The first is a cast metal figurine of a cat, rendered in a stylized, minimalist modernist form. The cat is depicted in a playful stretching pose with its tail extended, and is mounted upon an integral circular base. The metal displays a dark grey and brown patina consistent with oxidized bronze or pewter. The second item is a solid blue glass spherical paperweight featuring internal bullicante-style controlled bubbles and swirling translucent inclusions. The third item is a stylized clear glass figurine of an elephant with an uplifted trunk and a rounded body.
Faint markings are present on the upper surface of the circular base of the metal cat, but they are not legible as a name or specific characters. No other marks, signatures, or labels are visible on any of the items.
