Description
A group of four Guernsey coins from the mid-to-late 20th century. The lot includes a round, dark bronze 1956 « EIGHT DOUBLES » coin featuring a lily motif on the obverse and « DEI GRA REX ET INSULAE GUERNESEY » with a coat of arms on the reverse. Also present is a smaller, silver-colored, scalloped-edge 1959 « THREE PENCE » coin depicting a cow on the obverse and « ELIZABETH II BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY » with a coat of arms on the reverse. Completing the lot are two round, silver-colored « FIVE PENCE » coins, dated 1990 and 1992 respectively, both featuring a sailing ship with the numeral « 5 » on the obverse and a portrait of Elizabeth II with « BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY » on their reverses.
