Description
A pair of 19th Century French gilt bronze candlesticks, displaying a Rococo or Baroque revival style, characterized by their elaborate scrolling stems and bases richly adorned with acanthus leaves and other naturalistic foliage. Each features a single fluted candle cup set above a decorative bobeche.
Condition report:
Overall good antique condition. Consistent with age and use, exhibiting an aged patina, tarnish, and surface wear. Some areas of oxidation are present, particularly in recessed areas. Structural integrity appears robust.
