Description
A substantial two-part display cabinet, crafted from mahogany, in a Georgian or early Federal style. The upper section features a central framed door flanked by two narrower side doors, all fitted with intricate geometric glazing bars. The cabinet is topped by a classical broken pediment. The lower section comprises a bank of drawers positioned above a two-door cupboard, all fitted with decorative brass drop handles. Visible internal displays include a gold-embossed item prominently marked « Golf » in a stylized script, alongside informational cards referencing « Bobby Jones » and « July 2, 1927. »
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The polished finish is generally well-preserved. There are visible surface scratches and minor nicks on the top surface of the lower section, consistent with age and use.
