Description
An 18th-century framed architectural print, likely an engraving or etching, by S. Wale. The print depicts the « South West Front of Luton Park House in Bedfordshire, » dated 1762, and is signed « S. Wale inv. Et. Sculpt. 1762. » It features a detailed rendering of a large house with castellated elements, presented on light-colored paper. The print is matted and housed within a decorative giltwood frame under glass. An auction label, « PreAuction Limited LOT 326, » is affixed to the mat or glass.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. The print appears well-preserved, protected under glass. The mat and frame show minor wear consistent with age and handling.
