Description
An Impressionistic or Tonalist oil on canvas painting depicting a dense forest scene. The composition features numerous tall, slender tree trunks rising from a sunlit, earthy forest floor, rendered with visible brushstrokes and a soft, atmospheric quality. The painting is housed in a substantial gilded wooden frame with a classical profile. A white label reading ‘PreAuction LOTS08’ is affixed to the lower left corner of the frame.
Condition report:
Good condition. The canvas appears stable with no apparent tears or losses. The paint surface is generally clean with visible brushstrokes. The gilded wooden frame shows minor wear and some superficial abrasions consistent with age and handling.
