Description
This collection consists of eight vintage music and performance-related items, including tour programs, souvenir booklets, and educational material. The lot includes: The Who Summer of ’79 tour program featuring globe and radio tower graphic art; David Bowie Serious Moonlight Tour ’83 program with a portrait cover and Levi’s Presents branding; Santana European Tour 1978 program with a minimalist black cover and gold script; Roxy Music Souvenir Tour Diary 1979 spiral-bound booklet; Roxy Music Flesh + Blood booklet from 1980; The Best of Billy Connolly program featuring various images of the performer; Mike Harding In Concert program with a photographic portrait; and A Young Person’s Guide to Music by Neil Ardley, published by Dorling Kindersley in association with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, featuring a disc-shaped insert visible through the front cover. The items are primarily constructed of printed paper and cardstock.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition with visible signs of age and handling. Notable issues include softening and minor fraying at the corners and edges of most programs. The David Bowie program has a prominent vertical crease centered on the front cover. The Santana program exhibits surface scuffing and light scratches on its black cover. The Mike Harding program shows foxing and staining along the top edge of the front cover. General surface creasing and spine stress marks are present throughout the collection.
