An Assortment of Six Miniature Black-Glazed Ceramics Including Spathas Keramik and Creaho Examples
Description
A collection of six miniature black-glazed ceramic decorative items, comprising five vases of varying forms and one small pitcher. One bulbous vase features a flared rim and base trimmed with 24 carat gold and a hand-painted bird on a flowering branch. The base of this piece (photo 4) bears a printed gold-toned mark consisting of a large stylized letter S followed by the text SPATHAS KERAMIK HAND MADE IN GREECE 24k. GOLD above a Greek key meander border, with a hand-painted A 17 reference. A tapered cylindrical vase is decorated with a single pink flower and green leaves; the base of this item (photo 3) is hand-inscribed in a light-coloured pigment with Creaho Slovakia. A twin-handled vase displays a central floral medallion and retains a small gold foil adhesive label on the shoulder reading Chokin ART. The collection also includes a three-footed vase with multi-coloured enamel floral and bird decoration, a bulbous vase with a wide flared rim featuring silver-toned lustre bird and floral motifs, and a small jug decorated with white polka dots.
