Lot 414:
Two Laurel and Hardy Hand-Painted Figurines
Description
Two hand-painted resin or cold-cast composition figurines depicting the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy in characteristic poses. One figurine features the pair standing together, with Oliver Hardy in the foreground wearing a dark green jacket, yellow waistcoat, and cream trousers, adjusting his bowler hat. Stan Laurel stands behind him in matching attire. The second figurine depicts the duo leaning against a brown-toned stylized street lamp post, both dressed in black suits with bowler hats, mounted on a rectangular dark wood-effect base. The pieces are finished with a matt paint application. No maker’s marks, signatures, or country-of-origin labels are visible on the exterior surfaces of the figurines.
